Dr. Disrespect to Form AA to AAA Studio to Produce Dream Games of “Mega Influencers”

Streamer Dr. Disrespect is forming his own game studio, focused on bringing dream games of “mega influencers” to life.

The Co-Founder and Gaming Studio Head job listing on the Champion Club website asks for someone with at least five years experience as a producer; who can show “demonstrable experience in developing and publishing AA+ or AAA games reaching at least 100k+ users.” The charge for what sounds like big budget games also notes “familiarity with esports and influencer marketing is a plus.”

This new studio is not just going to utilize “a go-to market strategy including influencer marketing.” The studio’s goal is to work with “a select list of mega influencers” and launch their “dream gaming title.” Those games will “either be incubated and developed OR partner/co develop with existing indie game developers and launched as mega titles.”

A high budget coupled with creative influence from someone who has likely has not worked in the gaming industry sounds like a risky plan. It is worth nothing that a “mega influencer” would aid a large part of the game’s marketing by talking to their audience; those most likely to be interested in the game.

Dr. Disrespect (Guy Beahm) began streaming in 2010, and had over four million Twitch followers. He had been banned from Twitch twice, once after filming inside a bathroom at E3 2019, and another unexplained permanent ban in 2020. In an interview with PC Gamer, he explained that he had done nothing to violate his exclusivity deal.
