Dr. Disrespect Knows Why Twitch Banned Him; “We’re Suing the Fuck Out of ‘Em, OK?”

Dr. Disrespect sue Twitch

Streamer Dr. Disrespect has announced he knows exactly why he was permanently banned by Twitch, and is going to sue.

Dr. Disrespect (Guy Beahm) began streaming in 2010, and had over four million Twitch followers. He had been banned from Twitch twice, once after filming inside a bathroom at E3 2019, and another unexplained permanent ban in 2020. In an interview with PC Gamer, he explained that he had done nothing to violate his exclusivity deal.

It seems that new evidence may have come to light, as the Doctor has declared he will sue Twitch. In a recent stream (as shared in a clip by @LordVega), Beahm revealed that he did know why he had been banned.

“Well yeah I do know the reason why now. I’ve known for months now, the reason why. And I’ll just say this right now champs: There’s a reason why we’re suing the fuck out of ’em, OK? I don’t know how else to put it.

The amount of damages, and you just don’t… No… No…”

Beahm’s palpable frustration, or possible temptation to say what the reason was, is backed by some legal representative clearly feeling he has a case. It would suggest Beahm is confident his ban was not for violating Twitch’s terms of service, and in turn violated his exclusivity contract.

In earlier news Beahm announced he was forming his own game studio, focused on bringing dream games of mega influencers;” asking for a co-founder with experience in “developing and publishing AA+ or AAA games reaching at least 100k+ users.”
