Million Corp. and Arc System Works seem to be gearing up to revive the Kunio-kun franchise, as they have a PS3 port of Crash ‘n’ the Boys: Street Challenge coming out soon, and recently announced that a new Nintendo 3DS game, Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki, is in the works.
Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki
The first screenshots of the newly announced 3DS game, Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki, have made their way online (via Games Talk), which you can have a look at below.
The player’s group will consist of a maximum of four party members as they travel throughout Edo Japan: Kunimasa, an outlaw “gambler”; his partner, Tsurumatsu; and two possible henchmen.
As previously mentioned, a new “Katana Action” aspect is being introduced to the gameplay, and there will be special moves, weapons, and items such as buckets and wagons that are inspired by Edo-era Japan.
Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki is due out for 3DS in Japan on May 28.
