Bethesda Softworks and developer id Software have released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Horde Mode in Doom Eternal.
It had been previously announced the planned Invasion Mode for Doom Eternal was cancelled, and replaced by Horde Mode. A sneak peak of gameplay was also shown during the Game Director Playthrough. Said Game Director, Hugo Martin, explained the new mode would launch October 26th, as part of the 6.66 update; also containing Battlemode 2.0, and two new Master Levels.
Players are tasked with taking on hordes of enemies, with high-value targets that will offer more points when killed. As players blast through arenas, they enter rounds in between called Blitz and Traversal; to mix up gameplay.
The former tasks you with killing a set number of demons quickly, while traversal is a platforming challenge. There are even bonus rounds to collect coins for even more points, all while avoiding foes that slow you down.

Doom Eternal is available on Windows PC (via Bethesda, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
