Bethesda Softworks have announced the first campaign expansion for Id Software’s Doom Eternal, dubbed The Ancient Gods, Part One.
The teaser provides scant details, with the video description revealing that the expansion will feature new demons and realms. Taking place after the events of the main game, there is now a power-struggle for the new ruler of all the universe, with demons crawling out of the woodwork to fill that void themselves.
“Your victory over Hell’s armies pulled humanity back from the edge of extinction, but it came at a cost. An imbalance of power in the heavens requires the true ruler of this universe to rise and set things right. Wage war across never-before-seen realms of the DOOM Universe and fight against new demons in your never-ending battle against the forces of evil.”
