[UPDATE: Vampyr will be an action RPG, and is slated for a 2017 release.]

Remember Me developer, Dontnod Entertainment, is working on a horror RPG, dubbed simply Vampyr.

The game is being published by Focus Home Interactive, and it was revealed in a tweet by Focus’ UK PR agency, Dead Good Media, alongside a post with the game’s first artwork:vampyr 01-20-15-1

We’ve gotten the first details for the game (via The Sixth Axis), which reportedly has players stepping into the role of a vampiric doctor, just after the events of World War I.

The stylized Y in the game’s logo alludes to the choices you’ll have to make as the doctor, true moral dilemmas where you’ll be fighting the urge to feed, while also trying to heal people. The tagline is reportedly “Take blood. Save a life.”

Dontnod is working on both Vampyr and Square Enix’s Life is Strange at the same time. To accomplish this, they have two teams, each focusing on one of the titles.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

This sounds like it could be really awesome. Hope they release some more info soon.

From the two other games in their repertoire, I would say Dontnod’s ability to make compelling gameplay mechanics is in question, I’ll hold off on any further judgement until I can see some it.

A vampire Action RPG? This is either gonna be really shitty or really good.nnnLike seriously there’s no in-between for vampire Action RPG’s. It’s one or the other, never mediocre.

Already feel better about this than about Life is Strange.nnnNo offense to the devs, I didn’t play Life is Strange yet, but it doesn’t look that good.
