[UPDATE: Vampyr will be an action RPG, and is slated for a 2017 release.]
Remember Me developer, Dontnod Entertainment, is working on a horror RPG, dubbed simply Vampyr.
The game is being published by Focus Home Interactive, and it was revealed in a tweet by Focus’ UK PR agency, Dead Good Media, alongside a post with the game’s first artwork:
We’ve gotten the first details for the game (via The Sixth Axis), which reportedly has players stepping into the role of a vampiric doctor, just after the events of World War I.
The stylized Y in the game’s logo alludes to the choices you’ll have to make as the doctor, true moral dilemmas where you’ll be fighting the urge to feed, while also trying to heal people. The tagline is reportedly “Take blood. Save a life.”
Dontnod is working on both Vampyr and Square Enix’s Life is Strange at the same time. To accomplish this, they have two teams, each focusing on one of the titles.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
