Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro TV Anime Announced

Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro

An official TV anime of romantic comedy manga Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro has been announced, animated by Telecom Animation Film.

The series originally began as a short comic on Japanese art community website Pixiv in 2011 by “Nanashi,” before becoming a serialized web manga published by Kodansha in 2017.

The story follows a painfully introverted male student, who is soon tormented by Hayase Nagatoro. Despite being his junior (calling him senpai), Nagatoro endlessly teases this older student. It soon becomes clear this bullying may hide some deeper feelings.

On the official website some staff and cast have been confirmed (translation: Google Translate). These include Director Hirokazu Hanai (Dances with the Dragons), and series supervisor and script writer Takashi Kishimoto (91 Days, Bunny Drop, Erased, Fruits Basket [2006 and 2019], Haikyu!!, The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED, Silver Spoon, and Woodpecker Detective’s Office).

Other staff include animation by Telecom Animation Film, character design by Suzuku Misaki, and music by Gin of Busted Rose.

Nagatoro will be voiced by Sumire Uesaka, who has voiced roles in Girls und Panzer (Nonna, Piyotan), Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (Sanae Dekomori), Overlord (Shalltear Bloodfallen), Shimoneta (Oboro Tsukimigusa), Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown (Noble Fencer), and more.

No premiere date was announced at this time. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
