DJ Pikachu wins over fans with surprise broadcast

Ahead of last week’s Pokemon Presents broadcast, fans of Nintendo’s monster catching franchise were treated to a delightful surprise – an original remixed Pokemon music set, DJed by none other than Pikachu.

The entire setlist of remixed and bopping Pokemon theme songs ran for nearly an hour and spanned nearly the entire series thus far, running from the original Pokemon Red / Blue / Green themes all the way to Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Several iconic Pokemon theme songs were sprinkled throughout the set list including Professor Oak’s lab, the original surfing theme, the iconic battle victory theme, and even the original Pallet Town theme.

Fans were even spamming the letter “b” in the chat during the evolution theme, hinting that everyone loves Pikachu just the way it is – canceling evolution in the games would require the player hitting the B button.

Throughout the setlist, at certain points, different pikachu’s take over DJing – all clearly distinguishable by their differently colored and designed sunglasses: grass sunglasses, fire sunglasses, water sunglasses, electric sunglasses, and of course pikachu sunglasses.

Eventually, the entire setlist is closed out with all five pikachu DJs showing up for an absolutely energy-filled finale, complete with electric tunes pumping and all five DJs dancing.
