Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition’s New Features Shown On Twitch Stream

On Twitch’s E3 stream this afternoon, Swen Vicke of Larian Studios demoed the new enhanced edition of his hit CRPG Divinity: Original Sin. During the demo, in which he played a surprisingly fluid game of co-op, many of the new version’s features were given a proper showcase.

Before playing, however, Vicke made mention of the fact that they not only recorded enough new audio that it took them from January until June to finish it all, but that they added 40 voice actors to the mix in order to create variety between the speaking roles. Vicke also spoke of two new big additions to this new version, namely the grenade class of weapons and the ability to dual wield.

The twitch stream also gave us our first long look at one of the new NPCs, the rogue Wolgraff, as well as the co-op splitscreen that console players will be able to take advantage of. Master skills were also mentioned, though not shown. Apparently, they are a special class of skills that open up when you spend a certain amount of points in any one single talent.

Vicke didn’t give a solid release date, but did say they are shooting for an “Octoberish-Septemberish” window.
