Divinity: Original Sin 2 Breaks $1.2 Million, Adds Playable Undead Race

Larian Studios’ Kickstarter campaign for Divinity: Original Sin 2 has surpassed yet another stretch goal.

The crowdfunding campaign has surpassed $1.2 million, which unlocks the undead as a playable race. While the race itself isn’t quite fleshed out yet (sorry for the pun), Larian have teased in the above video update as to how they might play as a race.

The undead could regenerate health when frozen, or be immune to fear and bleeding, be unable to heal while burning, and maybe even have an ongoing decomposition attribute which starts them at 120% health, but later sees this decrease.

In a somewhat hilarious conundrum, Larian Studios are meeting stretch goals before they are even announced, so they’re adding new tiers and accompanying rewards for the fans who might’ve missed earlier tiers.
