Square Enix has announced they’re shutting down Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, their popular smartphone spinoff, earlier next year.
Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia will shut down on February 29th, 2024, worldwide and all in-game sales for gems have been terminated already.
Square Enix noted they decided to shut the game down after realizing it will be “difficult to provide a service that will satisfy our customers in the future.”
The free-to-play smartphone RPG was originally launched for iOS (via the App Store) and Android (via Google Play) back in February 2017, in Japan, and got a worldwide release a year later in January 2018.
