Disney Picks Up Yo-Kai Watch Anime, Hasbro Grabs Toy Rights

The Yo-Kai Watch video game isn’t even out in the west yet, and it seems like big companies are already trying to capitalize on the franchise.

We’ve learned that Disney has picked up the airing rights to the Yo-Kai Watch anime, and the anime will broadcast this year in North America. The first 26 episodes will be airing exclusively on Disney XD. Featured above, you can view a new English trailer for the anime, via Dentsu Entertainment.

Hasbro is also picking up the rights to the Yo-Kai Watch toys, alongside the previously confirmed manga getting picked up by Viz Media.
