In a very bizarre move by Disney Interactive Studios, Disney Infinity 3.0 now contains a new game mode and level seemingly taken straight out of Splatoon.

As you can see in the video above, the player is taken to a map almost completely identical to Splatoon’s Arowana Mall, with the objective being to cover all the walls with paint.

The worst part of it all is that it looks incredibly dull, only copying Splatoon aesthetically and not mechanically, making the inclusion of the level even more confusing. We’ve seen mods that do a better job at emulating Splatoon.

It’ll be interesting to see how Nintendo reacts to this (if at all), seeing as how they are very protective of their properties. To be clear, this is a game mode officially created and promoted by the Disney Infinity Team.
