Digital Dragons’ Indie Celebration Brings Indie Demos to Steam Across May 13 & 14

Digital Dragons Indie Celebration 2021 Steam

Valve and Digital Dragons have launched the Indie Celebration 2021 on Steam, providing demos for indie games for a short time.

Digital Dragons had begun the Indie Celebration Competition to aid indie developers in promoting their game during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Now a jury of game industry “profestionalists” (presumably a combination of professionals and journalists) have selected 60 titles from 250 submissions, with demos available on Steam during May 13th and 14th.

Gamers can partake in a community vote for their favorite game, with the winning developers winning prizes sponsored by AMD. The far from exhaustive list includes Akatori, Atrio: The Dark Wild, Curious Expedition 2, Alan’s Automaton Workshop, Okinawa Rush, A Juggler’s Tale, Dream Engines: Nomad Cities, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Just Take Your Left, Kingdom Gun, Despot’s Game, Hellpoint, Deepest Chamber, Tetragon, Dandy Ace, Galahad 3093, Paradise Lost, In Sound Mind, Happy Game, Untamed Tactics, Intravenous; and much more!

In addition, the Reboot Develop conference for Dubrovnik, Croatia have contributed to the event. They are presenting the Adria Games Initiative, showcasing some of the best games from the region. These include Underrail (specifically the Expedition DLC), Speed Limit, The Hand of Merlin, Bygone Dreams, Ripout, Serious Sam 4, SCUM, Mordhau, I Hate Running Backwards, Pagan: Absent Gods, and more.

DevGAMM, and indie games conference (running from May 12th to 14th), is also showcasing games from their online edition of DevGAMM Spring. These include Retro Machina, The Riftbreaker, Heart of Muriet, Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice, There is No Light, The Darkest Tales, Ash of Gods: The Way, Until We Die, and more. Their showcase also includes Blind Drive (you can find our review here, we recommend it!) and Skul: The Hero Slayer (you can find our review here, we recommend it!)

Finally, Digital Dragons themselves have highlighted games from the Polsih sector, along with Central and Eastern Europe. While their conference runs from September 7th to 8th, they have showcased some select titles.

These include Danger Scavenger, TSIOQUE, Rhythm Fighter, Not For Broadcast, Layers of Fear 2, Liberated, Gamedec, Shing!, and free prologues of Siege Survival: Gloria Victis and Figment 2: Creed Valley, and more. Their highlights also include The Medium (you can find our review here, we recommend it!)
