Bandai Namco have shared new screenshots from their upcoming Digimon RPG, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.
Cyber Sleuth follows protagonist Aiba (either the boy, Takumi, or the girl, Ami, depending on which the player chooses; they’re the characters wearing yellow shirts below) as they’re given a Digimon Capture device, travel to Cyberspace, and experience a glitch which gives them the ability to switch between the physical and cyber worlds. As real-world happenings affect the cyber world and lead to a crisis, digimon known as the Royal Knights travel into the human realm, intent on wiping humanity out in order to preserve their own existence.
Those familiar with Digimon will have noticed that a new digimon (see the header image) will be debuting in Cyber Sleuth. It’s called Mastemon, and is the result of a fusion evolution between angel- and demon-type digimon, who joined together in an effort to avert the crisis that threatens the digiworld.
The game appears to have a huge ensemble cast, as the screenshots feature just some of the characters that are a part of the story.
A new, seven-minute trailer for the game was recently released, which you can watch here.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth will be coming to Playstation Vitas in Japan on March 12. Bandai Namco stated last year that they may at least consider localizing the game for Westerners, but there’s been no news on that since.
Thanks, 4Gamer.
