Digimon Alysion announces closed beta test

Digimon Alysion

Bandai Namco announced a beta test they have planned for Digimon Alysion, their new trading and battling card game set in the Digimon franchise.

While an exact timeframe for the closed beta wasn’t announced, signups are now open until August 3rd. You can sign up here via the game’s official website. The beta will run sometime in August, too.

Here’s a rundown on the game, and the beta:

What is Digimon Alysion

Digimon Alysion is a mobile game for smartphones based on the widely popular Digimon Card Game, which is available in four different languages to consumers around the world. The app brings the excitement of the trading card game to both Android and iOS mobile devices—allowing players to build decks with their favorite Digimon and engage in thrilling card battles against others.

While also set in the same world as the “Digimon Liberator” comic and novel, Digimon Alysion will feature not only a new original story but also new characters and Digimon as well, including Digimon that follow all-new, never before seen evolution lines called “digivolution” paths.

Why a Closed Beta Test

A closed beta test with a limited group of participants provides more focused comments and opinions. During the testing, BANDAI CARD GAMES will evaluate the Digimon Alysion game system as well as its server load, while also collecting feedback and impressions from the 10,000 players participating. Their collective input will serve as invaluable information for completing the game’s development, in particular how to further improve the quality of the game in preparation for its official commercial launch.
