Fans who are eager to get their hands on Diablo IV may not have to wait much longer if a recent promo for the game is any indication.
Blizzard Entertainment is running a promo with a Hell’s Ink Tour, where fans who get a free Diablo IV tattoo are given a card that says it will grant them a digital copy of the game along with access to the beta when it does go live.
Some fans also noticed (via WoWhead) that buried in the config files for Activision Blizzard’s iconic launcher are the files for a Diablo IV beta.
As this quickly spread around and fans got excited a beta is imminent, Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson quickly addressed the beta files, noting this was for internal use only.
“Sorry! We will have more public testing in the future as we continue down the path to shipping in 2023,” Fergusson said in a tweet.
Blizzard normally roll out beta tests slowly, opting to keep the system exclusive for a while before opening the doors to allow in more users, so we should not assume anything different with Diablo IV.
Diablo IV is launching across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
