Diablo 4‘s Season 2 is here, and with every new season comes the opportunity to level up a new character.
Want to try out a new class, or maybe completely forgot how to play your own class at a lower level? Don’t worry, Niche Gamer has the strongest leveling builds for every class available.
Below you can find a leveling guide for the Necromancer class, specifically optimized for Season 2:
Bone Spear Necromancer:
The Bone Spear Necromancer is a ranged build that focuses on the Bone Spear and Corpse Explosion skills, dealing high damage to enemies and spreading vulnerability stacks, which is always welcomed in group content.
This build lets players move with ease through the game’s main campaign, and may even carry you through the early endgame, depending on your party composition.
Vampiric Powers:
Season 2’s unique mechanic introduces Vampiric Powers, which can completely change how your build works. Players will have to acquire Potent Blood by killing vampire enemies, which will in turn fuel your Vampirical Powers.
- Feed the Coven: This makes our minions lucky hits generate Essence to you.
- Coven’s Fang: Increases the damage output of your minions and makes them apply Vampiric Curse on hit.
- Metamorphosis: Makes your Evade action turn you in to a cloud of bats making you Unstoppable and inflict Vampiric Curse on enemies you pass through.
- Prey on the Weak: Increased damage to Vulnerable enemies.
- Ravenous: On lucky hit you have a chance to gain 40% increased Attack Speed of your total Movement Speed for 6 seconds.
Skill Point allocations:
The Bone Spear Necromancer’s skill progression rushes core and corpse skills as fast as possible. One thing to note is that all points put into Blood Surge should eventually be moved into Bone Spear, roughly after upgrading Grim Harvest to level 3.
This lets you spec into Corpse Explosion, which allows the Necromancer to kill enemies that survived Bone Spear without moving into close range.

Legendary Aspects:
Legendary Aspects are acquired by clearing dungeons throughout the open world, and after collected they will be available from the Codex of Power. Always remember that aspects naturally found on legendary gear will be a better roll than if they were applied.
This Necromancer build only relies in one aspect, which helps spread the vulnerable debuff on enemies. The rest of the aspects can be chosen by the player, and should be based on whatever stats their gear favors.
