Devs Leave Supportive Hidden Message for Kojima Productions in Metal Gear Survive

We’ve learned that developers working on Metal Gear Survive, the first post-Hideo Kojima game in the series, have seemingly left a secret message in the game.

The message was discovered by Twitter user NourishedPsyche, which appears to spell out “KJP FOREVER,” or for those not familiar with Kojima Productions, the often used abbreviation for the now-defunct Konami subsidiary.

You can find the message below, which appears at the beginning of the game’s campaign after you select a name:

It’s worth pointing out that the names seen in the screenshots are preset and not player-entered and each first letter spells out the hidden message, meaning the developers themselves put them in.

The fallout surrounding the departure of series creator Hideo Kojima and most of his core staff was only followed by them reforming an independent Kojima Productions. Regardless, staff that worked on his games are still at Konami and did work on this game.

Metal Gear Survive is now available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Could this simply be a coincidence? Sound off in the comments below!
