Developer and publisher Capcom announced Devil May Cry 5 has topped over 10 million copies sold.
“The title has garnered strong support from users due to its exceptional gameplay experience, leading to expanded sales as a catalog title since its release,” Capcom said in a press release. “Capcom provided an even more advanced story and action elements in the game with the addition of a new playable character, and more recently, the company released the new Devil May Cry animated series on Netflix, in line with the company’s Single Content Multiple Usage strategy.”
The new milestone comes not long after Capcom premiered their Devil May Cry animated series this spring – exclusively on Netflix.
The latest in Capcom’s beloved action series was released back in March 2019 and got an upgraded Special Edition release a year later, in 2020.
The most recent sales milestone for the game was 6 million copies sold as of October 2022, meaning it moved over 4 million more copies in less than three years.
Devil May Cry 5 has been available for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. Get our review here!
