Feral Interactive has announced both Mac and Linux versions for sci-fi action-rpg Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Both Mac and Linux ports of the game should be arriving sometime later this year. Further details, like system requirements, will be shared closer to launch.

September 22, 2016 at 12:57 pmGood to know an official port is coming.. But it’s not like Linux gamers wouldn’t be able to play the game given enough time anyway, so it’s time to revisit the franchise:

September 22, 2016 at 1:40 pmGood stuff, but a shame they opted to use DX12 instead of Vulkan in light of this news. Hopefully that’ll change as more games are designed for these new API’s from the beginning.

September 23, 2016 at 8:02 amLove that some are still going for Linux ports. It’s the way of the future, and this kind of love is exactly what the platform needs.
Sure, you can basically play most old games (pre 2010, non-DX11 games) through wine with pretty good experiences. If you really want everything you can use PCI passthrough and play every Windows game on Linux perfectly (through a VM with native performance), but native ports is clearly the best way to go.
