Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed removed sex change sidequest found in original release

Destroy All Humans! 2

It has been discovered the recently released remake Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed has removed one of their side quests from the game.

This is despite a disclaimer at the beginning of Destroy All Humans! 2 which “warns” players that content has remained unaltered from that of the original.

This specific side quest revolves around Crypto, the main character of the game, “helping” a person get a sex change after a series of events reveal that this is what the individual wants in their heart of hearts.

Of course in this game’s fashion, the idea is to “ruin” the lives of humans through hilarious means. For this example, by the end of it the man’s wife isn’t so happy with this change and demands a divorce. So while there is no given reason for the removal of this side quest from Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, it can be assumed it was done out of concern for being called “transphobic”.

This is not the first time a game has removed content over transphobia claims. GTA V seemingly removed content pertaining to drag queens from their “next-gen” releases of the title, for example. Recently the developer for the game, Domina, was banned with their game delisted from Steam after they posted anti-trans comments and jokes.

Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed is out now across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
