Despite not being officially announced, Activision is priming to launch a sequel to Bungie’s shooter MMORPG, Destiny, sometime this fall.
The news comes from the company’s Q4 financial results, where they promise to “broaden the franchise’s global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth.”
A conference call Q&A (via NeoGAF) had an Activision representative say they’re planning a pretty big reveal that will basically let the game shine on its own. Alongside the reveal are promises of a cinematic story, memorable characters, and tweaks to make it more accessible without losing what core players like.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
