Japanese developer Kemco shared the first details for Depth Loop, their new werewolf visual novel for PC and consoles.
Depth Loop is now confirmed for Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, Switch 2, PS4, and PS5, with a release set for 2026 in Japan.
Here’s a rundown on the previously announced game, plus the first teaser trailer:
Pushed to the brink of extinction by a pandemic, humanity’s last hope lies in a deep-sea facility. But when a werewolf infiltrates the crew, the brilliant scientists are thrust into a deadly game of suspicion. Can you unravel the mystery of Depth Loop and secure humanity’s future? As a player, join the Werewolf game!
This title combines the rich, immersive storytelling unique to visual novels with the strategic depth of repeatedly playing a looping Werewolf game to ultimately reach the conclusion.
With over 30 hours of total playtime, you can fully immerse yourself in the world and enjoy it to the fullest.
Game Flow
The game features twelve genius researchers from around the world, along with the player, werewolves, mermaids, and a commander.
Under orders from the commander, the player is dispatched to the deep-sea special facility “Mag Mell,” where they must participate in Werewolf games with the researchers to uncover its mysteries.
Depending on the outcome of each Werewolf game, the story progresses, gradually revealing the characters’ pasts and the secrets of “Mag Mell.”
