This past week, Dengeki released some pretty awesome new information regarding Persona 4: Dancing All Night‘s cast and some new gameplay details.
While the cast is no surprise, some new information has been added regarding each character’s attachment to the story, or some other fun bit of info.
The newly detailed profiles are:
- Yosuke Hanamura—for reasons yet to be disclosed, he and some of his friends are travelling to the city where Yu is living.
- Chie Satonaka—Chie’s dancing style will look a lot like her fighting style: lots of her signature kung fu.
- Kanji Tatsumi—true to his constant need for masculinity, Kanji’s dancing will be making use of brute strength for the audience’s enjoyment.
- Teddie—Teddie has been referring to himself as the “The Prince of Dance” in the articles.
Newly released details in the article also talk about the basics of the Battle System as well:
- The game will have players routing Shadows through dancing, of course!
- Gameplay will similar to most rhythm games – tap the buttons as they appear on the screen to the correct rhythm. This will include multiple buttons at once, and held notes, too.
- While the full details of it have yet to be released, building up combos can trigger special scenes (All-Out Attack, anyone?)
- The game allows for duets as well as solo dances.
- The enemy icon from the Shin Megami Tensei Super Nintendo games will appear near the top of screen during dance battles.
Persona 4: Dancing All Night‘s June 25th release date was announced last week, accompanied by a trailer containing sample tracks from the game.
