Renegade Kid is porting their first-person survival horror game, Dementium: The Ward, to the Nintendo 3DS.
Studio boss Jools Watsham confirmed (via Nintendo Everything) the port during a Twitch stream with Vinesauce which actually focused on Renegade Kid’s latest game, Xeodrifter. The 3DS version of the game is coming exclusively via the eShop.
New to the 3DS version are the enemies respawns, and the game’s overall saving system. Since both of these tweaks essentially make the game easier, Watsham and his team are making an attempt to provide a challenge for gamers looking for that kind of thing.
The game is confirmed to run at 60 frames per second, even with the stereoscopic 3D turned on. A release window is set for sometime in Q2 of 2015, and Watsham also mentioned they’re looking to bring Dementium II to the 3DS.
Finally, plans for Dementium III were mentioned, although Renegade Kid would’t be getting to working on that for awhile, as they’re focusing on Xeodrifter.
