Publisher Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios have shared the debut gameplay for Just Cause 4.
Featured above, the first gameplay trailer shows off the upcoming open-world action game, as well as the power and scale of the tornado weather simulations players can run into.
Avalanche teases that the game has “fully physicalized, gigantic tornadoes” that will “rip through the landscape, send huge pieces of debris spiralling through the air, and tear airplanes out of the sky.” The path of every object in the tornado route is calculated in real time.
Rico will also have his grappling hook in the new game, complete with full customization and new functionality. The video shows off some of those new features, including the ability to remotely attach multiple boosters and airlifters to anything you find in the game.
Just Cause 4 is launching across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 4th.
