Kojima Productions has announced a surprise Death Stranding Xbox port is now available today, ending the game’s console exclusivity to PlayStation.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is now available for Xbox Series X and S via the Microsoft Store, and is currently 50% off. The game also got a port for the Amazon Luna cloud streaming platform.
Kojima Productions also announced it now has full ownership of the Death Stranding trademark, where Sony originally owned it. This means they can release its coming sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, day and date with its PS5 release in 2025, for PC and Xbox.
Death Stranding was originally released for PlayStation 4 back in 2019 and got a Windows (via Steam) release a year later in 2020. It was then ported to PS5 in 2021 and Apple devices in January 2024.
