It’s not a secret that Dead or Alive 5 has gotten a lot of different re-releases, post-launch content, and even a free-to-play version, but we’ve gotten word of the series’ newest milestone.
We’ve learned (via NeoGAF) that worldwide sales for all versions of Dead or Alive 5 have reached 1.5 million units. The game originally launched on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012, only to be re-released as Dead or Alive 5 Plus, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, and finally Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
The free-to-play version is known as Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters, and that launched alongside the release of Last Round. The more interesting figure is easily that Core Fighters downloads have reached 3.5 million worldwide – although we don’t have figures if those users upgraded to the full version.
