Publisher and parent company Embracer Group have announced Dead Island 2 has sold over 2 million copies already.

Total sales for the game have topped “well over” 2 million copies since its release roughly a month ago. Dead Island 2 also sold over 1 million copies within its first 3 days of release.

Dead Island 2 was just released on April 21st, 2023 for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Make sure to check out our review of the title here.

“I am happy to state that the game has now reached a sell-out of well over 2 million units,” said Lars Wingefors, co-founder and CEO of Embracer Group. “It is rewarding to see that the decision to give the studio time to polish the game has paid off.”
