Motion Twin have been a roll lately for their hit indie action roguelite title, Dead Cells even years after it’s initial launch. With all this momentum, the company have announced that an animated series will be airing in 2024.

The project will be helmed by Bobbypills, who have created the animated trailers for the game already. They’re also currently working on an anime series based on Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon titled Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.

The animated series is set to last 10 episodes when it airs sometime in 2024.

Recently there has been a lot going for Dead Cells, such as the recent launch of their Return to Castlevania DLC as well as their announcement of reaching over 10 million in total sales. Fortunately for fans, they plan on continuing to update the game through 2025.

Dead Cells, alongside the Return to Castlevania DLC, is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, Android, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store).
