Day-Z Creator Announces ION, a New Space-Faring MMO for PC and Xbox One

Dean Hall, the creator of DayZ, has revealed his entirely new game at this year’s E3.

Featured above, the new IP, dubbed simply Ion, is set to launch across both PC and Xbox One

Here’s the official synopsis for the sci-fi MMO:

From the creator of DayZ and inspired by the cult favourite Space Station 13; ION is an emergent narrative massively-multiplayer online game in which players will build, live in and inevitably die in huge floating galactic constructions as humanity makes its first steps colonizing the universe. Technology from Improbable allows ION to have a massive interconnected universe with fully simulated environments such as power grids, air pressure and heat; all to help stave off the unending vacuum of space. First on PC and Xbox One Game Preview Program.

Finally, Ion will be part of Microsoft’s newly revealed Xbox Game Preview program.

Is this one going to get released, make a load of money, and never get finished too?

I look forward to him abandoning it a year from now while it’s still in early access.
