Dave Bautista really wants to be in the new live-action Gears of War movie, which Netflix recently announced they’re producing.

The former World Heavyweight Champion in wrestling now Hollywood actor not only enjoys the Gears video games, he naturally has the stocky and muscular build of the super soldiers.

“I can’t make this any easier,” Bautista tweeted with a promotional video of himself donning a Gears costume.

The video was originally shot and produced to promote his real appearance in Gears 5, where players could play as the former wrestling champ with an exclusive skin.

There’s no other information for the Gears of War movie, save that it’s actually happening – with one incarnation getting stuck in production hell for over a decade. It remains to be seen if this is related to that project, or if it’s something else entirely.

Bautista’s post tagged all the folks that would have to sign off on his casting – namely the official Gears account and Netflix. He naturally got lots of support, even Gears lead designer Cliffy Bleszinski, who said Bautista is his “first choice.”
