Phoenix Labs has announced Dauntless is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in December 2021, bringing their monster hunting game to next-gen consoles.

Dauntless is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on December 2nd and like its original releases, the game will be free-to-play. Dauntless has been available since May 2019 across Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and was later ported to the Nintendo Switch.

Also like the original release of the game, the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions will include cross-play and cross-progression, as well as “exceptionally improved visuals” that include improved draw distances, new lighting, better atmospheres, volumetric fog, and redone textures, water, grass, trees, and shadows. Furthermore, users on both platforms will be able to play the game at 4K with 60FPS, however Xbox Series S users are limited to 1440p and 60FPS.
