Phoenix Labs have announced a delay for the Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of Dauntless.
Originally the game was slated for April 2019 for those platforms, with Nintendo Switch and Mobile version launching later in 2019. The delay was cited as needing “additional time to polish gameplay, stress-test for scale, and complete additional features in time for launch on console and the Epic Games store.”
The developer also stated their desire to have cross-play functionality, with a “One Dauntless vision” including expanded friends lists and matchmaking across all platforms.
In addition, the game’s free-to-play version recently updated. The new Behemoth boss Boreus, who can summon swarms of minions to it’s side. You can read up more on it here.
Finally, Hunt Pass Season 3: Overgrowth has launched in the free-to-play edition. The event runs from March 13th to April 16th, allowing players to earn a full set of Farslayer gear “including the first-ever transmog for the Ostian repeaters.”
Other rewards include Emotes, epic flares, and more for both Elite and Basic Hunt Pass tracks as well. You can find the full run-down on the event here.
