Darkest Dungeon, a truly hardcore dungeon crawler that attempts to recreate the emotional stress one would expect when fighting demons several hundred feet below the Earth’s surface, has finally showed up on Steam.
With it having made its Kickstarter goal in one day, the game has received a lot of buzz. While we’ve seen PS4 and Vita footage of the game thanks to Sony, the PC version hasn’t enjoyed as much attention. With the Steam page, and the community that has already started discussing it on the store page’s forums, that is now rectified.
Indie developer Red Hook Studios expects the game to launch sometime in 2015 for Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Vita. The Steam early access testing period is scheduled for February 3rd, however, so those wanting to dive in early will be able to very shortly.
