Darkest Dungeon II Road to Ruin Early Access Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Darkest Dungeon II

Red Hook Studios have revealed the first Early Access gameplay trailer for Darkest Dungeon II.

While the first game tasked players with exploring the depths of their ancestral home’s grounds- they now venture across the corrupted land in a stagecoach. Each journey takes less than give hours, choosing from branching paths on your destination to stop apocalyptic disaster.

Your choices will affect the abilities your heroes can use, such as the new Runaway class, along with items and stagecoach upgrades on the next adventure. Your heroes will also bond with one another leading to combat synergies, or slowly find each other tiresome, leading to bickering, stress, conflict, and downfall for the whole group.

Rest at inns to manage stress, build relationships, and ease the mind with distractions and delights. You may also learn of your character’s origins; previously only part of promotional comics for Darkest Dungeon.

Speaking of the first game, narrator Wayne June returns, along with the game’s art style. Rather than 2D sprites however, the game now employs full 3D- mimicking the original sprites but with more moment.

Darkest Dungeon II enters Early Access October 26th on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store.
