In a surprising classification by the ESRB, Dark Souls II has received a T rating, instead of the M rating its predecessors received.
The Teen rating was given the descriptors: “Blood and Gore, Mild Language, Partial Nudity, Violence,” and while it’s definitely not a reason to freak out and scream censorship, it does make one wonder.
The actual listing has some interesting tidbits that you would expect if you’re a fan of the series, namely “players use knives, swords, and arrows to defeat enemies” and “the words ‘bastard’ and ‘pr*ck’ can be heard in the dialogue.”
The full listing is here, although I suggest staying away from it as it spoils a few of the bosses.
