Dark Souls II Armored Core: Verdict Day

Bandai Namco has announced they’re shutting down the old online servers for both Dark Souls II and Armored Core: Verdict Day.

Both games are shutting down next year, on March 31st 2024, specifically for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 online components. The online component for Dark Souls II on Xbox One and PS4 will remain operational.

Armored Core: Verdict Day was originally released back in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3 as a standalone sequel to Armored Core V. Dark Souls II was released for the same platforms in 2014, and later got ported to Xbox One and PS4.

Here’s what will be shut down/unavailable in both games after March 2024:

Dark Souls II

  • Asynchronous online elements such as apparitions, bloodstains, and messages
  • Cooperative play, adversarial play, and dueling multiplayer with other players

Armored Core: Verdict Day

  • World mode in general
  • Mercenary function
  • Territory custom
  • Ranking
  • General team menu
  • Other general functions related to online elements
  • It will no longer be possible to obtain trophies / achievements that involve online elements , and the DLC “Soldier Model” will no longer be available.
