Taito has announced DARIUSBURST CS Core + Taito / Sega Pack for Nintendo Switch.

The new collection of classic shoot ’em up games is launching for Switch in Japan, on October 27th.

What is DARIUSBURST CS Core + Taito / Sega Pack?

DARIUSBURST CS Core + Taito / Sega Pack is a software package that includes only “CS Mode” and “DLC Mode” of “DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVERS” released on other platforms.

*The various modes included in the “AC Mode” such as “Original”, “Original EX”, “Chronicle”, and “Event” are not included.

CS MODE

6 new areas added – The Nintendo Switch version adds 6 new areas to CS Mode! The Darius Calendar starts in the year 1906, and features a grand total of 225 areas in the Chronicle.

• Darius (June 1904) – New scenario by Riga and Ti2, inspired by the first Darius Burst
• Wafuo (October 1911) – Invasion of Dusty Space – A new scenario based on the additional events of DARIUSBURST: Another Chronicle EX+.
• Darius (December 1914) – Sixth Interstellar Expedition – A new scenario based on the additional events of DARIUSBURST: Another Chronicle EX+.
• Taimi (October 1910) – The Dark Green Space Breach – A new scenario based on the additional events of DARIUSBURST: Another Chronicle EX+.
• Irukehota (August 1910) – Newly implemented fast stage. No scenario
• Sunamau (June 1906) – Counterburst tutorial stage

Replay mode implemented – In addition to displaying the top scores in each mode, a replay mode is available to replay the top players’ moves at your fingertips. You can download the play data of the player ranked first in each ranking.

Display of Ghost Scores – When you play a stage for which you have downloaded the replay data, the replay score is displayed as a ghost score. By checking the difference between your score and the top ranker’s score, you can aim to improve your score. *You can select either the top ranker’s score or your own high score for the ghost score.

Reproduce the vibration of the chassis with the controller – One of the attractions of the arcade version of “DARIUS BURST Another Chronicle” is the powerful vibrations created by the speakers built into the seat of the dedicated cabinet, which are reproduced with the controller. The vibrations of the chassis are not merely proportional to the volume of the sound, but are caused by a special signal set separately from the audio for the background music and sound effects.

DLC MODE

This is a mode in which the aircraft of the collaborated works appear. You can play with both DARIUS’ aircraft and aircraft from other shooting games.

The following aircraft are included in each pack.

The “TAITO Pack” and “SEGA Pack” included in this title have the same contents as the DLC already distributed on other platforms. Please be careful not to purchase them in duplicate.
In “DLC Mode”, only the pre-installed “TAITO Pack” and “SEGA Pack” are available, and no other DLC (downloadable content) will be provided. No other DLC (downloadable content) is planned to be provided.
