Developer Three Fields Entertainment have confirmed the release date for Dangerous Driving.

The new Burnout spiritual successor will launch on April 9th for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

If the gameplay looks familiar to some, it may be due to game coming “from the creative talent behind the genre-defining Burnout series”. The physical edition of the game is being published by Maximum Games. These physical editions will also include Danger Zone 2.

Three Fields Entertainment is helmed by Criterion co-founders Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward. Expect takedown races, Eliminator and Road Rage modes. There’s a Pursuit Mode, too. There’s online multiplayer for up to eight players.

You can find the full run-down below:

From the creative talent behind the genre-defining Burnout series, Dangerous Driving puts aggression back into the racing genre, recapturing the spirit of the past and elevating it to new heights. Taking full advantage of the power of current generation hardware, the game offers unparalleled physics and mass destruction as players compete against ruthless opponents across a host of unique locations. Moving at breakneck speeds, players will not only battle rival drivers, but also dangerous roads in 30 perilous courses, set across seven different locations.

Each of the game’s numerous modes offer intense ways to play, whether players want to wreck their opponents in the adrenaline-fueled Takedown races, chain their way to perfection in Heatwave races, be the last car standing in Eliminator, or rule every road in Road Rage. Players can also take the law into their own hands by apprehending wanted suspects in Pursuit Mode.

Players can race offline against remorseless AI drivers in over 8 different event types, or online against seven other aggressive players, all the while unlocking new deadly cars and aggressive abilities as they progress.

Dangerous Driving launches April 9th for Windows PC (via Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
