Having played and loved the original Danganronpa, I was very pleased to see that the sequel brings back all of the charm, humor, despair, and creepy teddy bear action that I became so obsessed with last year.
I’ve always loved these kinds of games, such as 999 for the DS as well as its awesome sequel Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward, for the PS Vita and the 3DS.
This time around, you play as a student who seems to be having short term memory loss at the beginning of the game and can’t remember much, let alone just what type of ultimate student he is.
Gameplay seems about the same though, with light exploration mixed in with action-talking in a story that is really well paced to keep you engaged from beginning to end. Naturally, it’s not cool too write about spoilers here – rest assured, it’s more of the same goodness.
Here’s hoping the final game lives up to my expectations when Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair releases on September 2nd, 2014.
