Dan Hibiki, Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama Coming to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition as Season 5 DLC

Street Fighter V Champion Edition

Capcom have revealed new characters coming to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition; including Dan Hibiki, Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama from the Rival Schools series.

The Street Fighter V Summer Update livestream was hosted by the game’s director Takayuki Nakayama, and producer Shuhei Matsumoto, discussing updated and future developments. Therein, the Season 5 DLC characters were revealed. These included Dan Hibiki, Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama.

Dan is well known as the series gag-character, being a failed martial artist turned dubious martial arts teacher. Nakayama and Matsumoto hinted at his famous “Taunt” being a mechanic he will use in battle.

Rose utilizes Soul Power, channeled through her scarf. She was a former student of M. Bison, and learned Soul Power from him, while Bison corrupted the use of the power to become Psycho Power. She later took on Menat as an apprentice.

Oro first appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation, a 140 year old martial artist who mastered immortality. Oro does have two arms despite his appearance- his other arm bound down by magic. Though this can be temporarily broken to unleash powerful strikes.

Finally, Akira Kazama is from the Rival Schools series (also part of the Street Fighter universe). Despite her biker-like appearance (as she appeared in earlier games), she becomes more timid without those clothes. She even tried to hide her gender from others.

Rose and Akira will both have their own stages, along with each character having their own costumes. One more character is also set to be released with their own stage, and announced at a later date. You can find the full roadmap and release dates below.
