Fatshark have announced that Dan Abnett has been brought in to help write their upcoming co-op shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide hopes to take the formula of the Vermintide franchise, and transfer it to the grimdark future of the 41st millennium. Up to four friends will explore the darkest depths of a sprawling hive city as part of an Inquisitorial kill team investigating a Chaos cult called Admonition.
Dan Abnett is arguably the most famous and acclaimed of all the Black Library’s roster of authors. Abnett is responsible for writing the Gaunt’s Ghosts and Eisenhorn series, which are generally regarded as some of the best Warhammer 40k novels ever produced.
