Japanese developer Cygames have revealed their new game, following the countdown teaser site they previously had running.

Featured above, the new game is revealed as Shadowverse, a digital trading card / battling game akin to Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, but with an Asian/anime aesthetic.

We’ve gotten the first information for the game, via its official website:

The game has you picking a hero character, with your objective being to attack your opponent until their character runs out of HP.

The game has a different mechanic though, in the form of timing card evolutions to get you the upper hand.

There are over 400 cards for the game at launch, with each of them having the ability to evolve.

There are seven main characters to choose from, and the story changes pending which hero you select:

Shodowverse is set to launch in Japan sometime early next year for both Android and iPhone. There’s also an English version coming, although a release window isn’t confirmed.
