Cyberpunk 2077: No Info For The Next Two Years

If you were thinking we’d hear more about Cd Projekt Red’s next CRPG, Cyberpunk 2077, now that Witcher 3 has been released…you’ll be disappointed to know today’s news.

According to the Reuter’s article, which was meant to discuss the breakout sales of The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red is planning to focus on continuing content and coverage of their current open world CRPG rather than discuss any future projects. CD Projekt’s Chief Executive, Adam Kicinski, stated: “We hope and we are certain that Cyberpunk has even bigger commercial potential. It is too early to talk about it, though. This year, and the next one will be the years of the Witcher,”

Cynical fans may chalk this attitude up to the negative press the developer received when early images of The Witcher didn’t live up to the released product, which you couldn’t blame them for doing if true. More than likely though, the massive amount of post-release content they have planned for their current game makes it hard for their smaller (as compared to other major western developers) team to handle that and a new title.

There is no date for Cyberpunk 2077, but if anything does leak out we’ll be sure to update you. Thanks to Blues News for digging this up.
