CyberConnect2 25th anniversary artwork and music video revealed

CyberConnect2 25th anniversary artwork

New CyberConnect2 25th anniversary artwork was shared alongside a new music video, both in celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary this week.

CyberConnect2 was launched back on February 16th (it’s the 16th in Japan right now), 1996 – so the new CyberConnect2 25th anniversary artwork and music video was shared just in time for their big anniversary.

Here’s a look at the new artwork:

The new artwork was made by CyberConnect2 artist Higashi, who also did key artwork for other anniversaries the company held like the .hack series 20th anniversary, and the 15th anniversary of CyberConnect2.

If you didn’t notice – the above artwork includes characters from various CyberConnect2-developed games like original characters from Tail Concerto, Silent Bomber, .hack, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, and Asura’s Wrath (they developed that one too).

A celebratory music video “Connecting to Tomorrow” was also revealed, which LieN helped produce – they also worked on the theme songs and other assorted music for the .hack// series, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, and Asura’s Wrath, among others. The new video includes celebratory words and artwork from fans and other friends in the gaming industry.

Lastly, CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama shared a special message for the anniversary:

Our 25th anniversary came at a time of global hardship and restraint. It was an anniversary devoid of the ability for staff to hold celebrations together. However, we spent the year with the mindset that we should do what can be done, and not focus on what we cannot control. We received a torrent of celebratory messages and comments in celebration of this big milestone, our 25th anniversary, and we want to introduce these in the music video of our new celebratory song. All of us at CyberConnect2 have felt the love these past 25 years, and we will be working hard to bring you new content as we continue this journey. We thank everyone from the heart, and hope you look forward to what is to come.
