Focus Home Interactive and developer Passtech Games have announced the Early Access launch date of Curse of the Dead Gods.
The action adventure rogue-lite has you exploring an ancient Aztec-style temple, filled with traps, monsters, weapons, relics, and loot. All in your quest for greed, ascension, and confronting the God of Death.
Corruption builds as you explore, eventually manifesting as a curse. Players can intentionally avoid or attempt to be cursed, to gain new powers to help push on further. However, each curse is a double-edged sword.
With the game coming to Early Access, more updates will also come over the next few months. Including new temples (“each with their own universe, unique traps and enemies”), along with new game mechanics, weapons, curses, relics, and game modes. This will alongside features and improvements based on community feedback.
