Cuphead developer Studio MDHR have announced their DLC The Delicious Last Course has managed over 1 million sales. This feat was managed in merely just over a week after the launch of the DLC.
“It hardly feels possible to be typing these words, but here goes: in a little over a week since the game’s release, our Cuphead expansion The Delicious Last Course has gone platinum, selling 1 million copies across all platforms!”
They added, “This marks an even quicker timeline than it took for the original game to achieve this momentous feat, and we are just beside ourselves with joy and appreciation. These words certainly do not encompass how grateful we are, but to the amazing Cuphead players worldwide we say nonetheless: thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
As stated in their blog post, this accomplishment for makes the DLC an even faster seller than when Cuphead first launched in 2017. After a long wait for the DLC, with multiple delays along the way, it appears to all have been worth it for fans and the developers.
These sales figures also continue to show the franchise’s popularity. Recently there has been a television series on Netflix based on the game. A second season of which is expected to release some time later this summer.
